Historical reference
The First Shoe Factory in the city of Kyiv was established in 1867. Then, in the gloomy three-story building of the serf prison on Pechersk, the Kyiv District Quartermaster's Office established a military uniform workshop.
Later the workshop began the history of the largest shoe factory in Ukraine. Time passed and in 2007 "Enterprise "KYIV" LTD became the legal successor of the shoe factory.
Enterprise
Now "Enterprise "Kyiv" LTD is the owner of a complete property complex of buildings and structures, located on the Kyiv Hills near the Mystetskyi Arsenal and Pecherska Lavra, with a total area of 49 000 sq. m.
3 architectural monuments of national and local importance are located on its territory:
- Architectural monument of national importance: Earth fortifications of the citadel with bastions of the Kyiv fortress ( XVIII century )
- Architectural monument of national importance: Vasylkivska Gate of the Fortress ( Ravelin Gate of the Old Kyiv-Pechersk Fortress (Citadel)
- Architectural monument of local significance: the Barracks of the Military Orphan Department
The main activity of the Enterprise is renting and operation of own and leased real estate.
